Kanabec Hospital is committed to meeting the needs of our communities- from conception to end of life. Since we opened in 1945, helping new moms give birth is one of the best parts of our jobs. Kanabec Hospital welcomes hundreds of new babies into the world each year.

Our mission is to assist women in maintaining a healthy pregnancy, a satisfying and safe birth of their newborn, and to assist women in recognizing problems that require medical attention. We are committed to making your birthing experience an exceptional one.

From the beginning Kanabec Hospital is prepared to be part of this important event. We can help you choose a physician to provide prenatal care. Our doctors will continue to be a part of your care plan and pregnancy from conception through delivery.

Our childbirth education classes, which are offered frequently, will be helpful in understanding the physical and emotional changes associated with pregnancy and birth. Special Prenatal Education Classes and "Baby Break" sessions will arm every member of your family with the information they'll need in preparation for your family's new arrival.

We want to ensure your stay in Kanabec Hospital is comfortable. An important part of the birthing process is the involvement of your loved ones. We know that your comfort depends on the comfort and involvement of your loved ones. Our rooms are designed with you and your family in mind. All obstetrical patient rooms are private, and mothers labor, deliver and recover in one of the specially designed birthing rooms. We provide in-room sleeping accommodations for a designated loved one, as well as a special meal to celebrate your baby’s birth.
