The winner of the Family Fun & Safety Kit prize drawing offered at Kanabec Hospital's 6th Annual Community Picnic was Jennifer Larson of New York, NY.
Originally from the area, Jennifer was here visiting and it was the first time she had attended the picnic. "I was really impressed with the event!" she exclaimed. "The hospital staff who served us were so friendly and helpful and the meal was enormous. I really appreciate it all. The picnic was wonderful and to top it off I won the prize. Thank you!"
The Family Fun & Safety Kit includes a cooler, camp chair and duffle bag filled with a first aid kit, emergency radio, blanket, water, flashlight, umbrella and mini first aid kit. It is valued at $210.
Kanabec Hospital hosts the Community Picnic during National Hospital Week each year (usually the second week in May) as a Thank You to area residents for their support of the hospital. This year 750 to 800 people enjoyed the free meal.
